Cooking Method
- On the barbecue: Preheat the barbecue, then sear the flank steak on a cold grill before cooking it over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes on each side.
- In a pan: The pan should be very hot to quickly sear the meat. The ideal cooking time for rare is 1 minute and 30 seconds per side.
*You can add butter, garlic, or thyme and baste the meat while cooking in the pan for extra flavor.
