Cooking Methods
- Pan-frying: Heat a large frying pan over high heat. Test the heat by adding a few drops of water; if they sizzle, the pan is ready. Cook the chops for 3 to 4 minutes per side for a pink finish. For best results, aim for an internal temperature of 57–60°C for pink, juicy meat, or 63°C followed by a 3-minute rest for a more well-done result.
- Oven-roasting: Preheat the oven to 180–220°C. You can sear the chops in a pan for a few minutes before roasting to form a crust and seal in the juices. Cooking time ranges from 15 to 20 minutes. Check for doneness using a thermometer to reach your desired temperature: 50–55°C for rare, 60–65°C for medium, and 70°C for well-done.
- Grilling (BBQ): Preheat the barbecue to high heat and oil the grate. Grill the chops for 2 to 5 minutes per side, depending on thickness, for a pink finish. Let rest for 3 to 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
